Superior Boiler received a contract for a major boiler-room expansion at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Hutchinson, Kan.-based company will supply two watertube boilers with a square furnace. Each boiler is designed to deliver up to 85,000 lb/hr of steam capability.
The boilers will be equipped with burners capable of firing on both natural gas and oil, along with an Allen-Bradley combustion controls package. Both boilers incorporate technology to maintain low emissions and will be manufactured at Superior’s Richmond, Va., facility.
