Infrared Process Heating Handbook for Industrial Applications, a handbook from the Industrial Heating Equipment Association’s (IHEA) Infrared Equipment Division (IRED), has been updated and revised.
The new edition includes updated technical information, additional application examples and new case studies. With its focus on infrared heating in industrial processes, the handbook offers examples showing how infrared heating has been successfully applied. Case studies include curing metal finishes and protective coatings; fusing thermoset and thermoplastic powder coatings; forming molded plastics; bonding adhesives and metals; drying papers, inks and fabrics; and processing foods.
According to Scott Bishop, IRED chairman, this third edition also includes a revamped section on controls and how they can be implemented using infrared process heaters. Throughout the handbook, larger and better quality pictures, charts and graphs have been added to aid the reader’s understanding of the topic.
