Video Explains Ultra-High Temperature Process for Food Preservation
A fly-through animation explains the capabilities of an ultra-high temperature technology (UHT). SPX, which created the video, says the Infusion UHT Express increases the shelf life of dairy and food products without chemicals or preservatives.
The three-minute video explains the features and functions of the system, especially the tight control and accuracy of its rapid heating and very short holding time. This temperature/time control protects the product’s natural characteristics while ensuring a high bacteria spore kill rate, says SPX.
Other features of the UHT equipment include high turbulence, which decreases fouling and shortens cleaning time; high product flow velocity, which minimizes fouling and extends run time between clean-in-place cycles; and a design to allow ease of inspection.
