Heat Transfer Fluid Maker Responds to COVID-19 Outbreak
In a statement, Ed Delate, business director of heat transfer fluids maker Paratherm, a Division of Lubrizol, responded to the COVID-19 outbreak.
At this unprecedented time, we want to continue to provide you with updates on the status of our supply and the actions being taken by Paratherm (Division of CPI Fluid Engineering and Lubrizol) as we respond to the accelerated spread of COVID-19 virus throughout different regions of the world. Lubrizol has implemented our Pandemic Response Plan, and our actions taken to date are being driven by this plan. Our priorities, as defined by the plan, are to protect our employees, minimize any impact within our supply chain, and to ensure security of supply to our customers.
Regarding Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, Lubrizol has taken the following actions:
- Alternate work arrangements have been implemented for our teams wherever possible, including work from home and/or staggered work hours to minimize contact.
- All visitors to our facilities are prohibited unless the visit is deemed business critical.
- All employee travel is prohibited, including between Lubrizol sites.
At the time of writing this letter, our manufacturing operations in Europe, and the Americas have not been restricted by this situation. Working together to manage logistics and product availability will be key over the next several months. As you invoke your own pandemic plans, we would ask for your support to keep us informed of adjustments to demand of our products.
Given this very uncertain and dynamic time, let me take this opportunity to express our sincerest wishes for good health to you, your families, and colleagues. We thank you for your business, and we look forward to moving through this challenge together.
