Global specialty plastics provider Eastman will collaborate with Mazzucchelli 1849, the world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of acetate sheet for premium eyewear. Mazzucchelli will produce and sell acetate sheet made from Eastman Acetate Renew, a cellulose diacetate composed of 60 percent bio-based and 40 percent certified recycled content.

Mazzucchelli is providing acetate scrap to Eastman for use in carbon renewal. Eastman will soon begin collecting and recycling scrap at scale from eyewear manufacturers for conversion into new material, creating a closed loop for the eyewear industry. Eastman is already producing Acetate Renew, and Mazzucchelli expects to have sheet made from this material commercially available before the end of the second quarter.

Industrial gases producer Linde signed three new customer contracts by leveraging legacy Linde and Praxair technologies, made possible following the merger of the two companies. By cross-selling its combined technologies, the have non-cryogenic oxygen agreements with KOA (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of cosmetic bottles (China); Schott, an international technology group in the areas of specialty glass and glass-ceramics (China); and Arauco, a global forestry company (Chile). Linde has signed more than 30 small on-site contracts, including cryogenic nitrogen (N-Plant) and non-cryogenic oxygen (VPSA) and nitrogen (PSA) production plants in the last 12 months.

When a Southeast biomass power plant needed reliable level measurement of their ammonia bulk storage tank, the company reached out to Flowline.
