No. 996 can be used for batch processing large composite structures. Workspace dimensions of the gas-fired, 350°F (177°C) jumbo walk-in oven measure 10 x 32 x 8’. A modulating natural gas burner produces 1.2 million BTU/hr to heat the unit, and 49,000 cfm total from two 20-hp recirculating blowers provide combination airflow to the workloads. The batch oven has 4” insulated walls throughout; removable top-mounted heat chamber (shown removed in photo); a four-part split body for shipment with mating angle-iron frames to ease reassembly in the field; and aluminized steel interior and exterior. All safety equipment required by IRI, FM and NFPA 86 for gas-heated equipment is onboard. This includes an 8000-cfm powered forced exhauster for quick purge and cool down; motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling; and a 10” diameter circular chart recording and programming temperature controller.
