Batch Oven Cures and Dries Resin Waste
Wisconsin Oven shipped an electrically heated batch oven to a manufacturer of composite products. The oven, which has a maximum operating temperature of 300°F (149°C), will be used for curing and drying resin waste from a pultrusion process and mixing activities.
Combination airflow provides both horizontal and vertical upward airflow to maximize heating rates and temperature uniformity of the product. A through port mounted through the oven side wall was added to the overall design so the company can pass its own sensors through the side wall. The oven was fully factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment. All safety interlocks were checked for proper operation, and the equipment was operated at the normal and maximum operating temperatures.
