The Raychem Elexant 9200i establishes wireless connectivity between the company’s electric heat-trace controllers and supervisory software. The wireless communications interface allows users to maintain remote monitoring and configuration capabilities without requiring hardwired communications. The wireless interface meets all global approval requirements for use in hazardous environments, including CID2/Zone 2 (NAM), ATEX Zone 2 (Europe) and IEC Ex Zone 2 (international). Its secure, encrypted communication ensures users’ data is well protected. The scalable system supports the common ModBus RTU protocol and may be incorporated into new or existing heat-tracing systems.
