A Midwest automotive parts manufacturer will utilize a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) for the abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released during surface-coating operations.
A 6,000-scfm Triton-6.95 RTO from Catalytic Products International, Lake Zurich, Ill., will control VOC emissions from two ovens and four paint booths with greater than 98 percent destruction removal efficiency (DRE) and more than 95 percent thermal heat recovery. The air-pollution control equipment will allow the facility to maintain compliance with Clean Air Act standards and allows for minimal gas consumption and operating costs.
CPI provided turnkey installation, including engineering, design and supply of the oxidizer. The installation included process exhaust ductwork, booster fan and exhaust stack.
