Ovens and furnaces manufacturer Thermcraft Inc. is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021.
Thermcraft was founded in January of 1971, in a small warehouse space in downtown Winston-Salem, N.C., by Morris L. Crafton and Clara Martin Crafton. The company was later led by the late Thomas M. Crafton, their son, who served as president and CEO until 2020.
From that small startup operation, Thermcraft expanded to offer a range of thermal processing equipment, including industrial and laboratory furnaces, ovens, high temperature heating elements, insulation and replacement parts. The company currently operates out of a 70,000 ft2 manufacturing and office space a few miles from its original offices.
