Nine Dragons placed several orders for Valmet pulping technology for its pulp mills in China. Equipment to be delivered includes six fiberlines, two recovery boilers and two lime kilns. Startups are scheduled for 2022 and 2023.
The two recovery boilers each have a capacity of 2,300 metric tons of dry solids per day. The boilers, designed for high energy, power generation efficiency and low emissions, include noncondensable gas incineration. The order also includes automation features such as Valmet’s Optimizer for the recovery boilers.
According to Valmet, the fiberlines will provide Nine Dragons with the flexibility to produce pulp grades of different types as well as the ability to optimize pulp properties with lower power and wood consumption.
The two lime kilns each have a capacity of 420 metric tons per day of burned lime.
