A fixed gas detector, Xgard Bright will use the Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS) sensor from NevadaNano Inc.
Features of the MPS sensor include long life, a gas classification that provides improved detection capabilities and a device that does not require calibration. Used in Crowcon flammable gas detectors, the sensor employs micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) technologies that allow it to detect up to 15 flammable gases using real-time measurements. It reports how close the ambient gas levels are to the lower explosive limit (LEL).
