Given gas composition variability, industrial users must accommodate unexpected changes in the natural gas heating value and contaminant levels by using analyzers to verify characteristics throughout the supply chain. Model J22 can be used to monitor moisture gas content in natural gas pipelines. The analyzer is intended to replace electrochemical sensors such as aluminum oxide, phosphorus pentoxide, quartz crystal microbalance and chilled mirror, says the manufacturer. The analyzer’s TDLAS technology can identify water molecules specifically while being unaffected by other common contaminants.
