Powder Coating Institute, Lakewood Ranch, Fla., will host Powder Coating Week 2022 from at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. The March 7-9 event will include four events related to powder coating: a powder coating workshop, a forum for custom coaters, a tabletop reception and the 2022 Powder Coating Technical Conference.
Atlanta-based Chart Industries Inc. acquired AdEdge Holdings LLC, a water treatment technology provider. The equity purchase was completed for a purchase price of approximately $40 million. AdEdge will join BlueInGreen, acquired by Chart in 2020, in Chart’s ChartWater, a division that offers water treatment solutions. AdEdge’s water treatment and desalination technologies complement Chart’s existing water treatment equipment, according to the company.
In other company news, Chart Industries signed an agreement with FLSmidth to implement carbon capture technology to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from cement production. Cement production represents 7 to 8 percent of global CO2 emissions, says Chart, and carbon capture technologies can help reduce that number and meet the targets of the Paris Agreement. FLSmidth will work with Chart to adapt and commercialize Chart’s proprietary Cryogenic Carbon Capture (CCC) technology for the cement industry. A post-combustion technology, CCC was developed by Sustainable Energy Solutions (SES), a Chart company.
Milwaukee-based ProSonix introduced an instantaneous steam injection heater designed for industrial and sanitary water heating applications. ProJet is intended for applications that require on-demand hot water, including food processing, chemical processing and plant sanitation. It utilizes high steam velocity to mix steam with water and delivers precise temperature control.
Overland Park, Kan.-based SPX Cooling Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of evaporative cooling systems, is increasing prices, effective immediately, of Marley, Recold and SGS Refrigeration products to offset commodity increases.

Basin Water Resources LLC, El Paso, Texas, was selected by an international gold producer to supply a dual-train nanofiltration and reverse osmosis pilot system to evaluate membrane performance characteristics. The system allows testing of multiple membranes simultaneously and at similar or different operating parameters such as flux, recovery and chemical feed rates.
