Bock GmbH launched a UL-registered compressor range with approval for the U.S. and Canadian market. The line of compressors for refrigeration applications is based on the company’s HGe Series gas-cooled semi-hermetic compressors. The UL-He Series has been adapted to meet all relevant safety features for UL recognition and is UL registered.
ACS Group, New Berlin, Wis., promoted Lee Xiong to steam application engineering manager for its Sterlco Steam Control Products. According to the company, Xiong will focus on product enhancement, new product development and projects related to value analysis and value engineering projects to drive improvement in the steam segment of ACS’s business. He has 7 years of experience in the steam specialty industry.
The International Society of Automation (ISA), a nonprofit professional association for industrial automation, will provide select certified training courses in conjunction with Endress+Hauser’s instrumentation training courses, with these courses offered onsite at Endress+Hauser’s process training units (PTUs) located across the United States. The full-scale process units offer hands-on experience with the types of configurations, operations, diagnostics and troubleshooting found in real-world process plants, according to the company. ISA expects to offer Level 1 of its Certified Controls System Technician (CCST) training, among other courses.
Essen, Germany-based Evonik extended its distribution agreement with Brenntag for its Dynasylan product line to 16 countries in Europe. Brenntag will additionally distribute the silane products in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
More than 100 IQ part-turn intelligent electric actuators from Rotork have been installed on quarter-turn rotary-disc valves and ball valves that control the flow of petroleum products at an oil terminal on the Black Sea coast, at Novorossiysk, in southern Russia. The actuators were selected based on their ability to work at high temperatures with high salt content, according to the components company. The part-turn actuators can operate within a temperature range of -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C).
Valmet will supply a coated board-making line and a bleached chemi thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) production line with automation solutions as well as spare parts and consumables packages to a customer in Asia. Valmet’s delivery will include mechanical pulping, stock preparation and a coated board-making line from headboxes to winders.
