Customized inline air duct heaters are helping an aerospace company apply heat to regulate the fueling of spacecraft. The “trim heaters” are used to purify one of the fuel components during the fueling process. The final product includes four duct heaters, all consisting of tubular heating elements with housings. The heaters are constructed of seam-welded stainless steel for the housing material. The terminal housing had an enclosure rating of NEMA 4X, making it moisture and corrosion resistant.
