Consisting of a PVDF disc, fiber-reinforced polyamide housing and EPDM or FKM seals, the thermoplastic butterfly valve is suitable for pressures up to 232 psi (16 bar) and temperatures from 14 to 176°F (-10 to 80°C). Available in sizes from NPS 2 through 12 (DN50-300), Model 565 is lighter than comparable metal valves,  says the manufacturer, to ease installation. The valve is supplied in the same installation length as metal valves (ISO 5752 Row 20, API 609 Table 2) so retrofitting does not require additional work on the pipes.
