Alfa Laval and Microsoft have teamed up to facilitate service and maintenance of Alfa Laval’s Laval plate heat exchangers. The two companies will jointly develop digital tools to allow customers to self-assess whether and which heat exchanger services might be needed.

According to Alfa Laval, estimates show that up to 2.5 percent of the world’s CO₂ emissions could be prevented if heat exchangers currently installed in industrial processes were cleaned and maintained properly. In addition, the company says its plate heat exchangers can run for more than 20 years in an industrial process if properly serviced and maintained.
