New York Blower Co. and KDS Windsor opened its manufacturing operations in Philadelphia, Miss. The new facility will manufacture OEM fans and components and produce new kilns.

The 150,000 ft² facility currently employs over 20 production workers, with plans to hire more than 40 people as operations grow. The expanded facility and workforce will allow the joint venture to disperse field service technicians in the Southwest to provide service and replacement parts for existing kilns, ventilation systems and fans. The facility also includes 100,000 ft² of paved outdoor storage, which will serve KDS as it assembles kiln components prior to shipment. According to the companies, the building’s layout meets current needs while being laid out to accommodate future expansion by both companies.

NYB has other product manufacturing facilities in New Castle, Pa.; Effingham, Ill.; La Porte, Ind.; and Leitchfield, Ky. KDS has a plant in Hendersonville, N.C.
