Seminars in the fall will focus on industrial combustion as well as oven and furnace safety standards and codes.

The Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) will present its seminars on October 31-November 1 at the Embassy Suites Cincinnati RiverCenter in Covington, Ky. Held concurrently, the fall seminars will include a joint tabletop exhibition and reception on the first afternoon to allow attendees to meet face-to-face with suppliers from the thermal-processing industry.

IHEA’s combustion seminar includes 16 sessions concentrated on industrial combustion technology. Topics include combustion chemistry and efficiency; flame-safety requirements of combustion systems; process and ratio controls; types of industrial burners available; supply and control of the fuel and air for systems; and preheated combustion air and furnace recuperators. A new session in the course focuses on hydrogen combustion and decarbonization. The two-day course is led by subject-matter experts in a noncommercial environment.

The safety standards and codes seminar review the requirements of the NFPA 86 standard while focusing on updates in the newly released NPFA 86 Standards for Ovens & Furnaces, 2023 Edition. This class will be taught by several instructors who were involved with the 2023 revision.

Registration for both seminars is available at www.ihea.org.
