Process equipment manufacturer Readco Kurimoto, York, Pa., extended its rental program to include its SC Processor (SCP) line of continuous processors. Offered as a month-to-month lease, the SCP rental program enables food, chemical, plastics and other processors to test the drying and cooling systems with their materials and formulations in actual operating conditions and validate their processes while hidden on-site at their own facilities. The rental program includes confidential, on-site supervision by a Readco process engineer.
Drying system includes an integral baghouse dust collector positioned directly above the fluid bed drying zone. The configuration is designed to contain all of the fine particles entrained in the airstream and allow them to remain in the dryer for processing as product rather than collecting them remotely or accepting their loss as waste.
Fatal accidents involving industrial ovens and dryers are relatively rare, fortunately. Incorporating safety features can enhance operator and technician safety when working near industrial ovens and dryers.
In so many factories these days, the focus is “Safety is no accident,” and personnel well-being is prioritized more than ever. The benefits of a safety culture in an industrial setting are many: improved worker happiness and retention, reduced insurance costs and higher productivity.
The horizontal, conveyorized gas-fired and electrically heated convection drying and curing systems are intended for applications to dry off water or cure liquid and powder coatings on products processed horizontally.
Continuous drying systems can effectively dry or dehydrate many products in the process markets. When considering continuous-conveyor vs. fluid-bed or rotary industrial dryers, keep these points in mind.
The D Series offers nominal throughputs from 600 to 5000 lb/hr (272 to 2268 kg/hr). All models in the company’s large-dryer line are built around desiccant-wheel drying technology, a common touchscreen control, and a set of standard features.
