LEARNING THEATER PRESENTATION
Oil-free Process Cooling & Heat Recovery Process/Comfort Heating Symbiosis Systems

The decarbonization of processes requires creative solutions, including providing process cooling and recovering heat both directly to internal heating processes as well as to potential internal and external comfort uses. Solutions for these applications require attention to heat balance details/variations as well as hybrid electric/gas solutions to meet the final heat quality requirements. This presentation will cover several example systems and solutions, including the hydronic system heat transfer and system optimization technology utilized. It will also highlighting the benefits specifically of an oil-free technology-based heat pump in providing the lowest life-cycle cost solution.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Understand the potential of combining process cooling & heating systems together for optimization.
  2. Understand the potential of looking to comfort heating and external districts for heat recovery.
  3. Simplify the process of designing a cooling and heating symbiosis system.
  4. Understand the benefits of oil-free technology in minimizing the symbiosis cooling/heating system life-cycle costs.
