Mechanical Design Engineer
Kristina McKee is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Casso-Solar Technologies in Nanuet, NY. Kristina graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, in 2018, with a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. Following graduation, in June 2018, Kristina began working for Casso-Solar Technologies. Casso-Solar Technologies is a leading manufacturer of industrial infrared oven and heat processing equipment that is customized to maximize efficiency and productivity. At Casso-Solar, Kristina is responsible for the Mechanical Design of heat processing equipment. She works directly with customers to create a custom design that will fit their specific needs. She builds a 3D CAD Model and 2D drawings of the design to be manufactured. Once the design is finalized, she oversees the mechanical construction and testing of the equipment, ensuring it is ready for the customer.
During this presentation, Kristina McKee will go over the benefits of using infrared energy in industrial heating applications. The presentation will provide an overview of what infrared heating is and will detail the different ranges of infrared energy that are commonly utilized while highlighting the benefits of each. Infrared heating ranges will be compared with one another and traditional convection heating. Then the method for choosing the appropriate infrared energy form will be discussed and demonstrated through the review of a number of case studies.
