Registration is open for two Industrial Heating Equipment Association’s seminars. The combustion seminar and the safety standards and codes seminar will be held concurrently November 9-10 at the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland. The fall seminars include a joint tabletop exhibition and reception November 9.
Bloom Engineering will host a combustion seminar September 15-17 in Savannah, Ga. Suited for anyone involved with industrial combustion, it will focus on steel, aluminum and process heating applications.
The Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) heads back to Cleveland, Ohio, for its 2021 Fall Seminars and Tabletop Exhibition. The Combustion Seminar and the Safety Standards and Codes Seminar will be held concurrently on November 9-10 at the InterContinental Cleveland.
Combustion and safety seminars presented by the Industrial Heating Equipment Association may look different this fall, but IHEA will still deliver essential content. The seminars for process-heating professionals responsible for the operation, design and maintenance of industrial process furnaces and ovens will be delivered through a virtual platform.
Organizations across many industries require the safe and successful operation of fired equipment to run critical processes. Often, this necessitates an essential safety function typically provided by a burner management system (BMS).
When selecting a safety control system for a combustion application, it is essential to recognize that many trade-offs will need to be weighed before making a decision. In simple terms, the reliability will decrease when adding safety to any system.
Fives will upgrade the reheating furnaces at JSW Steel’s Vijayanagar Works, which has a current production of 12 million tons per year. The project aims to optimize the overall furnace heat distribution by integrating a new combustion zone. This will ensure homogeneous heating of slabs throughout the furnaces and will increase their capacities.
Registration is now open for IHEA’s Fundamentals of Industrial Process Heating Online Learning Course, which begins October 7. Students will learn the basics of heat transfer, fuels and combustion, energy use, furnace design, refractories, automatic control and atmospheres as applied to industrial process heating.
Rockford Systems LLC expanded its industrial safety solution portfolio into the fuel and thermal safety fields by launching a Combustion Safety division. The newly formed division will provide turnkey solutions for organizations that use thermal processes in their operations.
