Three technical seminars from the Industrial Heating Equipment Association will be held concurrently with Furnaces North America (FNA), a three-day trade show from the Metal Treating Institute. Hosted by the convention center in downtown Indianapolis, the seminars and tradeshow will be held October 8-10. According to the two organizations, being located in the same venue will allow attendees and manufacturers to expand their technical knowledge and spend time on the exhibit floor.
The provisions made for thermal expansion and draining of the thermal oil are key factors to consider for the successful installation of any thermal oil heating system. Important system design principles like this often are overlooked; instead, the focus is placed on specific components like pumps, valves or the heater itself.
Intended for industrial process-heating operators and users of all types of industrial heating equipment, IHEA’s “Fundamentals of Industrial Process Heating” online learning course is scheduled to begin March 13.
In multiple-burner installations on industrial ovens and furnaces, pulse-firing techniques can improve temperature uniformity, reduce emissions and cut overall fuel costs. Is it right for your process?
Many industrial manufacturers are learning that pulsing burners — from high fire to low fire — is a quick way to reduce costs, improve safety and meet emission-level targets for industrial furnaces and ovens.
To achieve the best bang for your boiler or thermal fluid heater, the boiler or thermal heater must be properly designed for the given application. Look for the highest efficiency for the unit along with dependable operation and readily available service.
Upcoming courses include those on fall prevention and protection, tower climbing training, confined space entry and rescue, and OSHA general industry training that addresses hazardous materials such as flammable and combustible liquids.
