PPG Industries Inc., Pittsburgh, named Marc Talman vice president of packaging coatings, based in London. Also in the packaging coatings unit, Gregory Hayes was named general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Watlow Expands and Names Communications Manager
Watlow Electric Manufacturing Co., St. Louis, expanded its manufacturing, sales and marketing, and research and development operations in Singapore and moved to a new facility.

Grayling Industries Invests in Improvements
Grayling Industries, Alpharetta, GA, made a $2 million investment in major equipment, process and facility improvements at its 6,000 ft2 manufacturing plant in Juarez, Mexico. Improvements include nine specialized heat-sealing machines, raw material protection and storage systems, finished goods storage and loading areas, refinishing of all interior surfaces and a plant-wide air filtration system.
Honeywell Acquires TrendView Instrumentation
Freeport,IL-based Honeywell Sensing and Control acquired United Kingdom-based TrendView Instrumentation Ltd., a manufacturer of paperless recorders and data acquisition products. TrendView's products will expand Honeywell's line of video/paperless recorders, which are used to capture and retain vital process data.

Menlo Park, CA-based Raychem HTS, an operating unit of Tyco Flow Control, acquired Tracer Industries Inc., Houston. Tracer Industries will operate as a division of Raychem HTS and join its growing family of heat-tracing companies.
