NFPA 86 Seminar Targeted for Oven Users, Designers
Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA), Arlington, VA, will host its 11th Safety Standards Seminar on May 7-8, 2001, at the Chicago O'Hare Marriott, Chicago. The seminar will offer attendees an opportunity to gain an understanding of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 86 series standards that apply to industrial ovens and furnaces.
Those involved with the design, manufacture or operation of ovens used in heat processing are encouraged to attend. Participants will have an opportunity to hear and hold discussions with speakers, who have first-hand experience with the NFPA safety standards. Most speakers serve on the NFPA 86 standards technical committee.
Topics scheduled to be covered at the seminar include an introduction to NFPA 86, fuel systems, oven ventilation and recovery systems, safety controls and procedures, fuel valves, and equipment location and construction.
