In an effort to meet the needs of a range of chemical process industries, International Exposition Co. (IEC), Westport, CT, expanded the scope of the Petrochem Expo and renamed it Process Industries Exposition. The comprehensive event, which now encompasses all process industries, will be held in Houston from April 24-26.
For more than 30 years, Petrochem Expo has served the petrochemical industry. IEC assumed management of the show in 1999. Following independent research, IEC identified a need for a single event, located in the Southwest, that covers the entire range of the chemical processing industries. The newly renamed exposition will continue to serve the petrochemical and refining marketplace while expanding to address a broader range of chemical process technologies and needs, including:
- Adhesives and resins.
- Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and drugs.
- Rubber and rubber products.
- Soaps, detergents and disinfectants.
- Textiles and leather.
- Foods, beverages and flavors.
- Paints, varnishes and ink.
- Pulp and paper products.
Process Industries Exposition will offer a number of topic-specific forums for various chemical processing industry segments, including a Process Control and Automation Showcase; New Product Technology Theatre; Maintenance and Retrofit Center; and a Safety and Environment Exhibit. The conference program also has been expanded to include a number of sessions that complement technologies shown on the exhibit floor.
