Sam Dick Industries' system vaporizes liquid propane gas fed from a storage tank.
QM packaged propane-air vaporizer/mixer system utilizes microcomputer/PLC technology to control and sequence an integrated vaporizer/venturi mixer. FromSam Dick Industries Inc., the system vaporizes liquid propane gas fed from a storage tank by passing it through a heat exchanger immersed in a heated water/ glycol mixture. A forced draft burner keeps the water bath at optimum vaporizing temperature. Responding to different loads, a PLC controls the heating and mixing process, maintaining a steady mixed gas pressure in an accumulator tank. Delivery pressures up to 15 psig for propane and 8 psig for butane are available with capacities up to 125 million BTU/hr.
