The line of Plateflow gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers from ITT Standard, Buffalo, N.Y., has received the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute's new certification for liquid-to-liquid heat exchangers.

The recently initiated ARI Standard 400 certification designates product-performance excellence and was developed to provide a common and consistent method of evaluating the thermal performance of liquid-to-liquid heat exchangers. Certified units have met or exceeded the manufacturers' published thermal performance rating.

The ARI certification covers 34 of ITT Standard's Plateflow models from P4 to P200, which come in a variety of plate construction materials and connection types.
