Trade shows must implement change in order to best meet the needs of both attendees and exhibitors. To that end, Coating 2005, the only conference and trade show devoted to end users of industrial coatings, will make several changes during its run September 19 through 22 in Indianapolis.

For attendees who want more time on the show floor that doesn't conflict with conference sessions, Coating 2005 will provide an entire afternoon in which the show floor will be “unopposed,” with no conference programming or other activity during that period.

“Attending a trade show and conference is serious business for attendees today,” said Anne Goyer, show and conference manager. “They expect to learn about leading-edge technology and ways to improve their finishing operations in conference sessions, and then they look to exhibitors on the show floor to place orders for needed equipment, materials and services.”

To allow for the same amount of conference programming as in the past, the technical conference now will begin on Monday afternoon, September 19, instead of Tuesday morning. Tuesday, September 20, will bring a half-day of conference sessions in the morning, followed by an afternoon when the show floor will be open with no overlapping educational sessions from noon to 6 p.m.

The conference program is currently under development and will be posted

to the show website by March 31. For exhibitor or attendee information, contact Goyer Management at (513) 624-9988 or visit www.thecoatingshow.com.
