Eclipse Inc., a global provider of industrial heating and combustion products, has opened a sales, manufacturing and service facility in Suzhou, China, one of that country's fastest growing industrial centers. A nearly century-old company based in Rockford, Ill., Eclipse set up the 12,920 ft2 (1,200 m2) facility in the Suzhou Industrial Park in the Shengpu District of Suzhou. The facility serves China's burgeoning manufacturing economy.

“The energy demands of China are immense,” said Lachlan Perks, Eclipse's senior vice president and general manager. “As natural gas emerges as a viable source of energy for industrialized China, it is imperative that Eclipse establish a position in this emerging marketplace for heat processing equipment.”

Eclipse designs and manufactures gas, oil and oxy-fuel burners, recuperators and heat exchangers, complete combustion systems and accessories for industrial heating and drying applications. Offering a range of capabilities, the new office was established to “quickly create safe, reliable and efficient solutions for providing heat to industrial processes in China” from application engineering to locally manufactured systems and technical support, Perks said.
