Every two years, the World Congress on Microwave and RF Applications is held to discuss practical use and advances in the fields of radio frequency (RF) and microwave heating for industrial processes. Attended by managers and technical people, it will be held November 7-12 in Austin, Texas, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Institute of Chem- ical Engineers (AIChE). Organizers have issued a call for papers for the upcoming conference.

Papers will be presented in two general areas: industrial and technical. The industrial program will include presentations by users of microwave heating equipment who will discuss their experiences. It also will highlight related papers in areas such as safety and energy efficiency. The technical program will be for papers by researchers on new technology advances in various fields pertaining to radio frequency and microwave heating.
