Hix Supplies Oven to Firearms Maker
June 1, 2006
When Wilson Combat, a Berryville, Ark.-based custom firearms manufacturer, needed more capacity and more control over a wider heat range for curing its proprietary coating known as Armor-Tuff, the company called on Hix Corp., Pittsburg, Kansas, to help them out with a new batch oven.
Darrell Bishop, Wilson Combat's custom shop manager, contacted Hix and explained the heat process necessary to properly cure their proprietary finish. Bishop needed an oven that would consistently provide the perfect finish for the quality firearm which Wilson Combat's customers have come to rely on.
Hix custom designed a batch oven to give Wilson Combat the control range desired and the capacity to get parts up to the required process temperature quickly. For more information, call Hix at (800) 835-0606.
