Flow Control System
January 1, 2007
Designed for burner control of combustion air and gases, Type 8750 consists of the company’s Type 2712 globe control valve with the Type 8630 TOP control system, and optionally, a temperature transmitter. The pressure drop over the control valve (acting as a restriction) is measured continuously by the two pressure sensors built into the valve-connecting tubes. This pressure difference and the valve flow characteristic are the parameters for determination of the volumetric flow through the control valve, i.e. for the process value. This measured value is compared with the setpoint, evaluated in a PID controller and set on the positioner as the new setpoint. A range of nominal diameters (DN15 to DN100) and seat combinations are offered, and the valve seats may be exchanged as required.
