The 2009 edition of Antec, a plastics technical conference, will take place during the triennial international plastics exposition, NPE. The co-located events will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place from June 22 to 26, 2009. According to Antec’s organizer, the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), more than 3,500 engineers, scientists, technicians, technical sales and service personnel, industry managers and academic specialists attended 650 presentations of peer-reviewed papers at the 2007 event. Likewise, the Society of the Plastics Industry, organizer of NPE, expects to attract 2,000 exhibiting companies and 75,000 visitors from over 100 countries to the 2009 show.
In addition to Antec conferences, visitors to NPE 2009 will have access to an extensive education program developed by SPI that focus on business and management issues; multi-exhibitor pavilions for emerging technologies; special processing sectors; a theater for new product demonstrations; and a design competition.
The 2008 Antec meeting will take place May 4 to 8 in Milwaukee, Wis., at the Midwest Express Center.
