Turbosonic's wet electrostatic precipitator removes sub-micron particulate, heavy metals, dioxins and furans, mists, and fumes from process gas streams.
TurboSonic Technologies Inc., Waterloo, Ontario, received an order for one of its SonicKleen wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP) from a U.S. contractor valued around $1 million. The equipment uses proprietary technologies to remove contaminants from industrial process exhaust streams, reducing emissions from many industrial processes. The equipment is scheduled to ship in summer.
According to the company, this is the latest in a series of orders from the oil and gas industry for WESP technology for sulfuric acid mist removal.
