At a meeting intended to facilitate peer-to-peer exchanges about Rockwell Automation system capabilities, three keynote speakers will focus on open standards, sustainability and innovation with regard to industrial process control.
The Process Solution Users Group (PSUG), an international meeting of end users, system integrators, partners and OEMs of Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation will be held November 17-18 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. The PSUG event is being held two days prior to Rockwell Automation's Automation Fair show, also in Nashville, Tenn.
At the PSUG event, the keynote speakers include Endress+Hauser COO Michael Ziesemer, who will present "Focus on Openness," highlighting open standards in process applications. In addition, Joel Makower, an executive editor at Greener World Media, will share his perspective in a speech titled "From Here to Sustainability, The Profits (and Pitfalls) of Environmentally Responsible Business." Additionally, Herman Bozenhardt, senior vice president and general manager of BE&K BioPharm, will discuss the future of automation through a speech entitled "Automation Projects in 2010 and Beyond, Thinking and Living Outside the Box." The PSUG even is intended to provide attendees with executive keynote addresses, customer application stories, educational sessions, and user-led priority voting sessions. The voting sessions help chart the course for the Rockwell Automation process system strategy.
In addition, attendees will hear from Rockwell Automation and its partners about advanced process control, regulatory compliance, energy management, development tools, legacy DCS migration, batch and MES solutions, safety and critical control, industry standards, asset management, process optimization, and plant-floor integration. New this year, attendees of educational sessions will receive continuing education units to help them meet their professional development requirements. PSUG attendees also have the chance to see more than a dozen case-study presentations from users in food and beverage, oil and gas, chemical, water treatment, and life sciences industries.
