
The 2009 NPE Expo, to be held June 22 through 26 at Chicago’s McCormick Place and produced by the Society of the Plastics Industry, will contain eight full-scale expositions and conferences, including four new events.
The regular scheduled events include the 26th NPE exposition, with 2,000 exhibiting companies; the Society of Plastics Engineers’ ANTEC 2009 technical conference, with more than 650 original, peer-reviewed presentations; SPI’s “The Business of Plastics” educational program; and the MoldMaking Expo conference and exposition.
The four new events are:
- PET Strategies Plus conference on business strategy, issues and technologies involving PET packaging applications of PET (www.packstrat.com).
- Time Compression conference and exposition focusing on technologies for rapid product design and development (www.timecompressionexpo.com).
- Latin American Plastics conference, which will be conducted entirely in Spanish. It will focus on trends, opportunities, technologies, and ways to improve competitiveness in the Latin plastics markets (www.plastico.com/seminarios/npe09).
- Coatings for Plastics conference, which is intended for professionals who specify and use coatings on plastics, as well as coatings manufacturers and raw material suppliers (www.coatingstech.org).
