Heat Soak Oven for Tempered Glass

Designed to heat soak glass at 536°F (280°C) ±9°F (5°C), Model EC-617.5-9.5BIFG uses a proprietary air distribution system to ensure that uniform airflow passes between each sheet of glass. The sheets are positioned so that a ~1" (25 mm) gap exists between each sheet. A heavy-duty steel cart carries the glass being processed, and built-in tracks allow the cart to roll in and out. Up to 24 glass sheets measuring 100" x 17' can be loaded at one time, for a combined weight of nearly 12,000 lb.

Infrared Oven with Refractory Board Reflector
BT Series uses a refractory board reflector that can withstand a much higher temperature than a metallic reflector. The unit does not require air or water cooling and is designed to operate continuously in a high temperature environment. Because cooling is not required, airflow does not contaminate the product and the system has a smaller profile. The infrared heater can be used as a stand-alone oven, or it can be designed as a booster to augment an existing process. Because of its design, it also can be mounted inside a convection oven.

Tail Threading Unit for Double-Fabric Dryer Sections
TailDoc threads a sheet tail through the machine with the help of compressed air. The tail-threading unit consists of a doctor blade and a blade holder. The doctor blade separates the sheet tail from the cylinder surface with the help of a counter-directed air blow, and guide blows usher the tail to the next fabric nip. Nozzles placed in the blade holder area create a tail-stabilizer zone that settles the tail, prevents cross-machine sway and ensures fast tail tensioning and smooth transfer. The tail-threading unit is suitable for double-fabric dryer sections of paper or board machines.

Process Gels, Slurries and Solids
Solidaire dryers have high-speed, adjustable paddles that create an agitated, dense, thin layer of material against the jacketed vessel wall. A jet-rotor design allows injection of gas or liquid through the paddles into the thin layer of material flowing along the wall of the unit. Operating modes include indirect, direct and a combination of both. The unit can process a range of heat-sensitive materials, from free-flowing solids to wet cakes and slurries, as well as materials whose flow characteristics change during drying. The dryer also can handle fine, low-density particles that might be fluidized in mechanically or pneumatically agitated equipment.

Radio Frequency Web-Drying System
Intended for applications in the converting and textile industries with patterned water-based glue and coatings, Macrowave selectively heats only the patterned coatings (wetted sections) on the web. The radio frequency dryer leaves the bound moisture in the substrate intact, thus preventing overdrying, distortion and shrinking. Capable of operating at speeds up to 1,500 ft/min, the drying system reduces make-ready because radio frequency power is instant on/off and energy is only consumed with a load in the system.

Fluid Bed Dryer
Suited for conditioning chemical and pharmaceutical, aggregate and waste products, fluid bed dryer employs a design in which the dryer is part of the movement or conveyance of the product. The amplitude of the movement remains constant while the frequency can be varied according to the required transport speed, which enables accurate adjustment of the product drying times. The amount of air needed for drying is minimal, reducing energy costs. The “air bellow” system keeps the correct amount of spring action across the fluid bed dryer. Sub-fluidized conditioning provides plug flow.
