Scholarships were awarded to five Western Michigan University chemical engineering students studying energy management by Armstrong International, Three Rivers, Mich.

The scholarships are funded by the $400,000 Armstrong Endowment for Energy Management, established in 2001, and are awarded annually to chemical engineering students at the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based university who meet academic and other criteria. Recipients of the 2010 award are Kristen Bellmer, Caleb Pease, Casey Kick, Katie Risnes and Thomas Merckley.
