Hot Water PumpsThe company offers a range of hot water pumps for temperatures up to 530°F (277°C) and design pressures up to 1,160 psi. Due to high vapor pressures, standard mechanical seals can not be used for higher temperatures. The easiest solution is a cooled mechanical seal, but the required cooling water has additional cost. An alternative is a standard mechanical seal with a pumping devise and an external air cooler. The cooler is a recent development for this application, and it does not need cooling water. It is self venting.

Air Heating and Drying
As shown on the cover of the magazine, Model DAF low NOX burner fires biogas and natural gas for a rotary dryer and products 60 million BTU/hr heat input. The use of by-products as a source of energy can replace fossil fuels and minimize difficult disposal problems. For instance, burning pulverized coal, wood fines, biomass or low BTU gas with the ability to burn multiple fuels in combination helps reduce operating costs.
