The company has commissioned its longest low temperature belt dryer model 1/6200-61.5 to date at Celulosa Arauco y Constitucion S.A., in Santiago, Chile. The dryer's fuel, which includes wood chips, shavings and bark, will be pre-dried to increase boiler capacity and avoid downtime during cellulose production process. Arauco ranks among the biggest producers of cellulose worldwide.
Stela also has installed a 180' long low temperature belt dryer, model 1/6200-49.5, at a paper-making plant owned by Södra Cell AB, headquartered in Vaxjo, Sweden. By pre-drying fuel in the 180' long unit rather than using wet fuel, the plant will increase its existing boiler capacity.
