Heat exchangers for use in catalytic processing sections in the production of mixed xylenes used for synthetic nylons and PET bottles have been ordered.

Packinox heat exchangers have been ordered from Alfa Laval, Lund, Sweden, for use in catalytic processing sections in the production of mixed xylenes used for synthetic nylons and PET bottles, among other things.

The heat transfer specialist received the order from a South Korean refinery. Alfa Laval placed a value on the order of $17.2 million. Delivery is scheduled for 2013.

South Korea is now the fourth largest market for Alfa Laval, behind the United States and China.
