No. 1028 is used for preheating large dies. Workspace dimensions of the two compartments on the twin-compartment, 750°F (399°C) electric cabinet oven each measure 40 x 42 x 51". A 7,800-cfm, 5-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload in each compartment, and 100 kW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber. The cabinet oven has 8" insulated walls, removable top-mounted heat chamber, aluminized steel interior and exterior, and two tiers of four 300-lb capacity shelves supported by rollers to extend 14" in front of the oven.
