Model DTI-1140 is used to heat treat engine components for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. The natural gas-heated system includes the indexing conveyor oven, a quench tank, a rinse tank and an automated pick-and-place system. The heated chamber in the conveyor oven includes four index positions that process 840 parts (530 pounds) in an eight-hour cycle. The indexing conveyor oven has PLC control, and all motion functions are controlled by servo. Both the quench and rinse tanks include electric heaters to ensure the solutions are at the required temperatures. The quench tank also has a chiller to cool the solution after each cycle.
