For the second straight year, Summit Industrial Products, Tyler, Texas, a manufacturer of synthetic lubricant technology for industrial applications, was honored as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Texas.” Of the 100 companies honored, Summit was 21st on the list and the only manufacturing company chosen.

The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. It was created in 2006 and is a project of Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business, the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group.
