Unitized Storage Tank Heaters Provide Controlled Heat for Materials
Lo-Density unitized storage tank heaters can be installed into above-ground tanks or vats. They dissipate controlled heat as low as 3 W/in2 on the heater’s sheath to prevent coking or damage to temperature-sensitive materials. Unitized heaters include the company’s drywell-style elements that reside inside the sheath, making them accessible from outside of the tank and eliminating the need to drain the tank to service the elements. Each heating unit is designed for the application. Customizable design features include sheath diameter, number of elements, sheath length, amperage or materials of construction, including specialty metals. Typical applications include asphalt, light and heavy fuel oils, diesel, biodiesel, glycerin, lube oils, hydraulic fluids, resins/epoxies, animal fats and molasses.
