Resin Curing Oven Used to Cure Compound-Wound Cylinders
A gas-fired, walk-in batch oven will be used to cure resin on compound-wound cylinders following delivery by Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, Wis. The resin is cured onto the cylinders while they are rotated inside the oven, eliminating sagging. The curing batch oven has the capacity to heat the 12,000 lb of steel and 3,200 lb of composite material from 70 to 350°F (21 to 177°C).
Wisconsin Oven verified that the unit has a maximum temperature rating of 500°F (260°C) and guaranteed temperature uniformity through a nine-point profile test prior to shipment.
