After joining the industrial engineering group Fives early in 2014, ITAS has changed its name to Fives ITAS. The formerly family-owned company was founded in Monza, Italy, in 1976.

Fives ITAS designs and supplies combustion equipment, including flares, process burners for refineries and oil and gas plants, thermal oxidizer systems, solvent recovery systems and other emission treatment solutions and burners for environmental applications, and direct and indirect fired heater systems. In other company news, Fives has successfully delivered cryogenic equipment to LG Chem, Air Products and Reliance. During the second half of 2014, Fives provided LG Chem with a large-sized cold box for use on the Yeosu site in South Korea. The cold box meets expanding ethylene production capacity needs there. During the same period, Fives delivered an exchanger to Air Products for use at the new Uhde ammonia plant in Donaldsonville, La. Finally, in October, Fives installed an exchanger at the Hazira petrochemical site in Gujarat, India, for Reliance. The replacement exchanger was designed and built in record time.
